SM Prime, WWF-Philippines join forces to nurture the future sustainability champions


Recognizing today's youth’s key role as tomorrow’s guardians of the environment, SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SM Prime) and World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines (WWF-Philippines) have teamed up to launch YOUth are the Future,a leadership program aimed to equip young student leaders on environmental conservation , climate change, and sustainability issues.

“There is no better time than now to educate the youth. As stewards of the planet, it is important that they have an opportunity to learn about environmental conservation, encourage them to voice out their fresh ideas, and share new perspectives,” said WWF-Philippines Education for Sustainable Development Project Head Dino Calderon.

Forza Underground II at Filoil Flying V Arena | December 22, 2018


The biggest student MMA Battle in the Philippines, Forza Underground II, poised for a bigger and better event this December 22, 2018 at the FILOIL FLYING V ARENA.

Part of the Kamiseta Group of Companies, Forza is an athletic wear brand which promotes not just apparel like its mother company, but also organizes major competitive events. With the hugely successful Forza Underground Presented by San Miguel Oktoberfest with over 3,000 attendees last October 20, 2017 and the Forza Obstacle Run last May 5 with 1,500 runners (the biggest Obstacle Run in Metro Manila).


Forza Underground II with Red Horse Beer and Vantage International ups the ante by opening its doors to all students from all over the Philippines, with the Open Workout, a tryout to filter out the best of the best, as 60 athletes came from all over the archipelago, from Baguio, Batangas, Valenzuela, Cavite, Manila, Laguna etc. as well as Students from De La Salle University, Ateneo de Manila University, University of Santo Tomas, University of the East, University of the Philippines, Far Eastern University, National University, etc. 


With 19 bouts with 6 total Student Title Championship fights, and with the FILOIL FLYING V ARENA’s capacity of 4,500 people makes this the most anticipated MMA Battle this 2018.

British Council Philippines offers IELTS Exams with a full range of program and learning resources


Filipinos dream of a better life abroad, whether it be studying, working, and living with their family or friends in another country. To make these a reality, one of the requirements is taking a language assessment test to prove they can speak the language used in the country they want to go to. 

For English-speaking countries, this means taking tests like the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test.

Vision Petron 2017: Full List of Winners

Vision Petron holds "Fuel Creativity" exhibit at Bencab Museum


On its 17th year, Vision Petron, the multi-awarded national student art competition of oil industry leader Petron Corporation, opened its Fuel Creativity Exhibit at the Bencab Museum in Baguio, last October 14, 2017. The month-long exhibit is a retrospective painting exhibition featuring selected works of Vision Petron National Student Art Competition grand prize winners over the years.

Vision Petron Art Competition 2015: Full List of Winners


On its 15th year as an award-winning national student art competition, Vision Petron recently announced the winners of the 2015 competition themed Lakbay Kasiyahan: Our Journey of Happiness.

The winning artworks are featured in Petron’s corporate gifts and merchandising materials for 2016. Petron’s corporate gifts and merchandising materials for 2016, including an e-calendar with inspirational quotes, feature the winning artworks of students from all over the country. Particularly gratifying is the fact that the Vision Petron 2015 winners are well represented from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—proof of the huge pool of Filipino artistic talent among the youth.

Call for Submission: Write Green: Premio Ambahan 2015


The Bienvenido N. Santos Creative Writing Center (BNSCWC) announces Write Green: Premio Ambahan 2015. This competition seeks to promote the writing of ambahan as a contemporary expression deep-rooted in our tradition. 

Ambahan is a short poetic form indigenous to the Hanunuo Mangyans of Mindoro. It consists of seven-syllable lines, mono-rhyme scheme, and images illustrating people’s lives in relation to their natural habitat. Its original language uses an ancient syllabary or a writing system Indic in origin.

MMFF New Wave 2014 (Student Shorts Section) - 5 Official Entries


The TOP 5 official finalists of the Student Shorts section of the Metro Manila Film Fest (MMFF) New Wave 2014 have been revealed. Films will be screened from December 17-24, 2014 in SM Megamall and Glorietta 4 cinemas, together with the 5 finalists for the Full Feature and Animation categories.
