Hidden Gems of Batanes Island in the Philippines


Almost all foreigners and travelers often ignore Batanes as it is located so far up north, and it is a bit expensive to fly there. Well, if you are one of them, you are making a serious mistake of skilling Batanes. Batanes sure is underrated, and it may be the smallest province in the Philippines but is loaded with touristic attractions. Moreover, there are many cheap flights from Manila to Batanes that run daily.

Travel Now TV premieres May 17, 2015 on GMA News TV channel


From the glossy pages to the television screen, Travel Now magazine inspires more people to explore the Philippines through a new adventure show, Travel Now TV. The program chronicles the quirky exploits of two half-Pinoys: Harry Morris of the Philippine Volcanoes football team and a marine biologist, and host/DJ & I am MEG's first Ambassador Julz Savard, as they discover more about the country and about themselves.

Produced by One Mega Group, the show is directed by Mike Carandang.

Survivor Philippines (US Edition; Season 25) set in Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur premieres on September 19, 2012


Survivor Philippines Season 25 premieres on September 19, 2012 (US time, aired simultaneously here in the Philippines via GMA News TV-11). Survivor Philippines is the 25th season of the American CBS competitive reality television series Survivor. Set in Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur in the Philippines, this season will feature several new castaways competing with three returning castaways who were removed from their previous seasons due to illness or injury.

It will be the first season since Survivor: All-Stars to begin with three tribes and the seventh season overall to feature returning castaways. This season will feature 3 returning Castaways who were previously medically evacuated during their respective seasons: Jonathan Penner, Michael Skupin and Russell Swan.

Boracay, second top beach destination in the world

Boracay beach in the Philippines was voted as one of the top beach destinations in the world. It ranked second place, and Providenciales in Turks and Caicos made it on top of the list, according to a survey done by Trip Advisor.  

I was in awe when I landed on that island for the very first time in September 2007 with over 90 people for a church retreat. Can you imagine a church retreat in the island of Boracay? The experience was different. I could never imagine that such a beautiful place exists - pristine waters, white sand, colorful sunset, restaurants and hotels left and right and this one really marked my jaw-dropping wonder - an ATM machine set on sand?
