Kix and Thrill, 2 new giant channels in Asia for Asian viewers


Another innovation in Asia has taken the television viewing by storm. Celestial Tiger Entertainment, operator of the largest franchise of pan-Asian Channels dedicated to Asian entertainment, has introduced two distinctive TV channels, KIX and Thrill, to create a new balance of action and horror/suspense entertainment on pay television in the Philippines.

- mixed martial arts (MMA) combat events and other sport events

- Asia's first and only channel dedicated to horror, suspense and thriller

According to Andy Cheng, Celestial Tiger Entertainment’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, “Kix and Thrill will appeal to the viewers on a very primal level: the adrenaline rush of excitement and the joy of being scared. We think these two channels offers viewers something very unique in today’s multichannel universe. Viewers will know exactly what they are getting when they tune into the action entertainemtn on Kix and the spin-tingling programs in Thrill.”

Bellator Fighting Championships

As the “home of combat” in Asia, KIX brings the best MMA programs from around the world first and exclusivel (including the world’s largest tournament-best MMA promotion), Bellator Fighting Championships, which will air Season 6′s Road to the Championship in October; and It’s Showtime, a global championship kickboxing tournament, airing on the channel’s Friday Fight Night block.

Top Gear Korea

Also airing on KIX in October is season 1 of reality series Top Gear Korea, the Korean version of the hit BBC motoring show as well as the first and exclusive premier of Mad Dogs, a pyschological series that aired in the UK with high ratings.

Bedlam

Current and upcoming programs on Thrill include the spooky new series Bedlam, which was the third highest rated show in UK channel Sky Living last year. Thrill also features monthly movie thematics such as October’s Asian Fear Fest, a spectacle of the scariest horror films from across Asia, playing every Friday and Saturday at 9pm.

KIX and Thrill can be seen in the Philippines on SkyCable (channel 63 and 73), Cablelink (channel 220 and 201), and Destiny (channel 10 and 11). KIX and Thrill are distributed to provincial cable systems by Creative Programs Incorporated (CPI), a subsidiary of ABS-CBN Corporation.
