3rd TOFARM Film Festival Awards: Full List of Winners (2018)

Tanabata's Wife won big at the 3rd TOFARM Film Festival Awards including Best Picture, Best Director (Charlson Ong, Lito Casaje and Choy Pangilinan), Best Actress (Mai Fanglayan) and Best Actor (Miyuki Kamimura), last September 15 held at Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

Jury members for the full length competition were Manet A. Dayrit (chairperson), Jerrold Tarog, Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo, Moira Lang, and Mel Chionglo.

The short films' winners were chosen by Director Raymond Red and Cesar Hernando.

Richard Quan finally bagged his second acting award in 25 years. His first acting recognition was from his first film, Saan Ka Man Naroroon, as New Actor of the Year from the PMPC Star Awards for Movies.

Dulce serenaded actor Robert Arevalo, while Bituin Escalante sang a musical tribute for Director Maryo J. Delos Reyes, TOFARM Film Festival Director for 2006 & 2007.

1st TOFARM Songwriting Competition launched

After the very successful 1st TOFARM Film Festival comes a new competition to weave music about farmers, farming, agriculture and bountiful harvest. Universal Hervester Inc. launched the 1st TOFARM Songwriting Competition in a press conference last September 10 at EDSA Shangri-La Hotel. This competition is open to both amateur and professional composers.

The first-ever TOFARM (The Outstanding Farmers) Film Festival announced its winners in an awarding ceremony held at Makati Shangri-La Hotel on July 20, 2016 (Wednesday).

Hosted by Carla Abellana and Dingdong Dantes, the program glittered with performances by Christine Allado, the Whiplash Dance Company, and Aleron Choir. 

1st TOFARM Film Festival - Extended! | July 20-26, 2016

The 1st TOFARM Film Festival run has been extended for a week due to insistent public demand. The six (6) featured films will still be shown at SM Megamall Cinema 7.  

Manuel Silos' BIYAYA NG LUPA opens the 1st TOFARM Film Festival

Biyaya Ng Lupa, the 1959 Filipino drama film directed by Manuel Silos, serves as the opening gala film of the TOFARM Film Festival 2016, which is on July 13, 6pm at SM Megamall Cinema 7.

The 1st TOFARM (The Outstanding Farmers of the Philippines) Film Festival showcases the films of Dennis Marasigan's Free Range, Paolo Villanueva's Pauwi Na, Zig Dulay's Paglipay, Maricel Caraiga's Pitong Kabang Palay, Victor Acedillo Jr's Kakampi, and Jose Johnny Nadela's Pilapil.
