The Wikipedia Tambayan Talk will be held on June 18, 2011 (Saturday) from 11am to 5pm at the Wikimedia Philippines Benchmark Corporate Center in Makati City. It is the first informal brainstorm discussion in three years that solely discuss the existing cloud projects made by Filipinos or relates to the Philippines. These include Wikimedia projects (Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wiktionary, Wikisource, Wikinews, etc.) in Philippine languages. Currently there are projects, existing and proposed, in Tagalog/Filipino, Cebuano, Ilokano, Waray-Waray, Kapampangan, Bikol Central, Zamboanga Chavacano, Pangasinan, Hiligaynon, Kinaray-a, Capiznon, Pandan Bikol, Rinconada Bikol, Maranao and Tausug.
The aim is to gather ideas on how to expand and improve the articles in those projects and set standards in orthography, translation, and resource building. Admission is FREE.
