The Design Against the Elements (DAtE) art competition was launched at the Malacañang Palace in Manila, Philippines on March 5, 2010. This is a contest on architectural design to be participated by registered/ licensed architects & students of architecture worldwide. The objective is to design sustainable and disaster-resilient communities for tropical urban environments. Big cash prizes await the winners! Please take note of the deadlines below on registration and submission.
DAtE is spearheaded by Illac Diaz, the founder & Executive Director of MyShelter Foundation. This project is also being supported by the City of Taguig, Climate Change Commission, United Architects of the Philippines and Philippine White Helmets.
