Cine Lokal features a gritty set of films for April 2018

This April, the Film Development Council of the Philippines is featuring three (3) independently produced films of 2017 through Cine Lokal, all set to screen in eight (8) SM Cinemas, focusing on the daily real life struggles of people who are short-changed by life but with big dreams.

Cine Lokal highlights Pride and Love in "4 DAYS"

Cine Lokal continues its offering on all kinds of love this month of February with 4 Days, an LGBT romantic drama directed by award-winning film director Adolf Alix Jr., featuring Mikoy Morales and Sebastian Castro.

CineLokal features "Ang Bagong Pamilya ni Ponching" at SM Cinemas | November 3-9, 2017

CineLokal features Ang Bagong Pamilya ni Ponching at eight (8) SM Cinemas on November 3-9, 2017. Written by Inna Salazar Acuña & directed by Inna Salazar Acuña & Dos Ocampo, the film was an official entry to Cinemalaya Film Festival 2016. 

FDCP and SM Cinema to launch Cine Lokal with President Duterte

The Film Development Council of the Philippines, in partnership with SM Entertainment will launch Cine Lokal on April 19, 2017 with President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as the Guest of Honor. The event will be held at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. The Philippine premiere of Director Mel Chionglo's award-winning film, Iadya Mo Kami, will follow the program, simultaneous with the screening of  Academy Award Best Picture for 2015, Spotlight. 

FDCP and SM Cinema support indie films through Cine Lokal

The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and SM Cinema launched Cine Lokal — a new cinema line that will house independent, award-winning films and FDCP programs in select SM Cinema branches across the country starting April 2017. This project was created to strengthen its commitment to support the Philippine cinema and to reach a wider audience.
