Canon Photomarathon 2014 (National Leg) at BGC, Taguig | November 8, 2014

Canon Photomarathon 2014 is now open for registration. It is a one of a kind on-the-spot Photo contest that challenges the skills and creativity of photographers in creating themed inspired photographic images under time pressure. Participants get to compete with other amateur photographers, hobbyist, enthusiasts, and professional photographers under strict contest rules and deadlines.

OtterBox challenges gravity in Drop Test Tour

OtterBox wants to prove that it can protect smart phones and tablets at the Drop Test Tour scheduled on March 16-18, 2012 at the North Court of the Power Plant Mall in Makati City.

 

Running blogger, also known as The Bull Runner, Jaymie Pizarro, and television show host Rovilson Fernandez will show you how OtterBox fits into their lives on March 16. It will be followed by drop tests, where smart phones, tablets and other devices in OtterBox cases will be dropped three times from different heights.

Philippine surfing champion and model Lorraine Lapus will lead the tests with her iPhone 4S in its OtterBox Defender case on March 17. The drop test will be open to all who want to test and shop on March 18.

There are so many things that we can learn from running. It's not just about speed or being able to reach the finish line. It makes us test our limits, having self-control and getting fit and healthy. When practiced regularly, it motivates us to do better and teaches us the discipline in the things we are passionate about. 

In joining a marathon race, running per se is not only that matters, but the preparation and the training one will do, having that one goal in mind - to finish the race. Many runners don't prepare at all, and I can say that it's also one mistake I want to get over with. Any physical & mental exercise would count a lot to prepare our body to get physically fit for the challenge ahead.

12 Teams to compete in Philips Urban Adventure on Aug. 27

I feel that I need to prepare now for the adidas KOTR which will happen on Octoer 23, 2011. We need to teach our body to both mentally and physically tackle the challenges in running. Maintain your pace and delay the onset of fatigue by training your body to utilize all the energy it reserves. Through long training in running, the capacity to store more energy within the muscles increases.

NBA 3-on-3 Philippines by Sprite to delight basketball fans

The first-ever NBA 3-on-3 Philippines presented by Sprite will take place in SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay City, Metro Manila on July 1-3, 2011. The event combines exciting on-court competition with authentic NBA entertainment and experiences for basketball fanatics.

The NBA 3-on-3 Philippines 2011 presented by Sprite will provide youth with an opportunity to hone their skills and compete amongst their peers.  The competition is open to boys and girls ages 11-19, with an open division for men. Registration began on June 3 on a first come first serve basis and runs till June 28, 2011.

NBA Legend Horace Grant, a four-time NBA Champion (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93 with Chicago; 2000-01 with L.A. Lakers) and an NBA All-Star in 1994, will make appearances and interact with fans through clinics and community events. Current All-Stars and legends from the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) will also be there.

The best part of this -- admission is FREE.

Boracay, second top beach destination in the world

Boracay beach in the Philippines was voted as one of the top beach destinations in the world. It ranked second place, and Providenciales in Turks and Caicos made it on top of the list, according to a survey done by Trip Advisor.  

I was in awe when I landed on that island for the very first time in September 2007 with over 90 people for a church retreat. Can you imagine a church retreat in the island of Boracay? The experience was different. I could never imagine that such a beautiful place exists - pristine waters, white sand, colorful sunset, restaurants and hotels left and right and this one really marked my jaw-dropping wonder - an ATM machine set on sand?
