FEUlikulahan screens Alvin Yapan’s "Mga Anino ng Kahapon"

Now on its seventh year, FEUlikulahan continues its commitment to bring quality entertainment to the Tamaraws as it presents the FEU premiere of Alvin Yapan and Alemberg Ang’s acclaimed 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) New Wave entry, Mga Anino ng Kahapon, on August 29, 2014 at the FEU Mini-Auditorium, Technology Building at 3:00pm. Admission is FREE.

The screening, jointly organized by the President’s Committee on Culture (PCC) and the FEU Film Society, will serve as the duo’s homecoming to FEU after their successful 2011 Cinemalaya entry, Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa, which was shot almost entirely at FEU.

Mga Anino ng Kahapon explores the varying degrees, forms and issues of surveillance (the feeling of being policed) which are the heart of the relationship and conflict of a schizophrenia patient and caregiver, especially during the treatment phase. However, while the film deals with a psychological condition, Yapan also uses schizophrenia as a metaphor for the conditions prevailing in current Filipino society.

The film is headlined by MMFF Best Actress winner, Agot Isidro, and TJ Trinidad. Director Alvin Yapan and Producer Alemberg Ang will also grace the screening and will be on hand to answer questions from the audience.

The screening is free and open to the public.
