Casting Call for the new film, "Manila X"

Richard Coronel, one of the recipients of this year's ALAB Short Film Grant, is casting for Manila X, a short feature set in post-apocalyptic Manila about the struggle of a mother with a missing son. The film will be competing in the 2012 Active Vista Film Festival organized by DAKILA Philippine Collective for Modern Heroism, with the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Australian AID, Movie Matters and The Asia Foundation as institutional partners.

Auditions will be held AUGUST 20, 2012 (1-8 pm) at KYSS SUPERCLUB, 5343 Gen. Luna Street cor. Makati Ave, Makati City (just across A.Venue). No pay, but copy, credit, meals, and lodging provided. Please bring your résumés with pics. Prepare to cold read. Open only to those residing within Metro Manila or nearby provinces. Shoot starts last week of August until 2nd week of September 2012.

They are seeking professional/non-professional actors for the following characters:

MOTHER: must appear to be between the ages of 45-55, LEAD

SON: 19-25, lean, LEAD

OFFICIAL: 45-55, LEAD

GIRL: 7-10; thin, long-haired, & morena a plus; support

BOY: 7-10, medium built to chubby a plus, support

PRISONER: 25-35, moreno a plus, support

SOLDIER#1 & SOLDIER#2: 25-40, athletic to muscular built, support

WOMAN: 18-30, pretty, partial nudity required, support

Also seeking:
