After the very successful 1st TOFARM Film Festival comes a new competition to weave music about farmers, farming, agriculture and bountiful harvest. Universal Hervester Inc. launched the 1st TOFARM Songwriting Competition in a press conference last September 10 at EDSA Shangri-La Hotel. This competition is open to both amateur and professional composers.

Himig Handog P-Pop (Pinoy Pop) Love Songs presented its 15 new original songs in an awards night held on September 28, 2014 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. There were over 6,000 entries submitted since November 2013.

"Ikaw" interpreted by Jonalyn Viray is 2013 ASOP TV Song of the Year

"Ikaw," a crowd favorite song of praise composed by Boy Christopher Ramos Jr., bested 12 finalists to win Song of the Year Award in this year's ASOP TV Music Festival Grand Finals Night held while Jonalyn Viray received the “Best Interpreter Award” for the same song.
Ramos is a professional composer whose
awards-worthy “Ito ang Buhay Ko” won in the Best Theme Song category of the
2011 Asian Television Awards. Viray, on the other hand, is 2004 Pinoy Pop Superstar Grand Champion (from the singing competition of GMA-7 network) and the 2006 WCOPA gold
medalist.

SONG: "Kulang Ako Kung Wala Ka" by Erik Santos

I have probably heard of this song sometime over the radio, but I have not paid attention to it or even bothered to research about it. I know that when Erik Santos sings, it's always one of the best. I never knew that this song was already played in 2011. This song was played as a background music in a documentary show of ABS-CBN on Wednesday evening and I was keen to listen to its melody and the chorus. From there I got the title and made a little research on Youtube.
"Kulang Ako Kung Wala Ka" by Erik Santos is such a beautiful Tagalog song, with soulful melodies and a message that is sad but touching, that the guy is not complete without his love. The song is composed by Soc Villanueva. In English, the title means "I'm not complete without you."
