Miss New Zealand Ariel Pearse is Miss Tourism International 2016/17


Miss New Zealand Ariel Pearse was crowned Miss Tourism International 2016/17 held at the coronation night at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel in Sepang Utara, Malaysia  (south of Kuala Lumpur) on December 31, 2016. Pearse won over 59 other contestants from around the world. The duration of the competition was from December 12, 2016 to January 1, 2017.

There was no competition for the year 2015-16. Miss Tourism International 2014/15 Faddya Ysabel Halabi Troisi of Venezuela crowned the new queen.

Miss Venezuela Faddya Ysabel Troisi is Miss Tourism International 2014; Philippines as 2nd runner-up


Miss Venezuela Faddya Ysabel Halabi Troisi was crowned Miss Tourism International 2014‬ at Putrajaya International Convention Center in Precinct 5, Putrajaya in Malaysia on December 31, 2014. She bested the other sixty-one (61) delegates from around the world. Miss Philippines Glennifer Perido won second runner-up (or the Miss Tourism Metropolitan International 2014 title).


Angeli Dione Gomez from the Philippines won the title in 2013 back-to-back with Rizzini Alexis Gomez, also from the Philippines, in 2012. Both are from the province of Cebu and both have the same surname, Gomez, but are not related. The first Miss Tourism International crown for the Philippines was won by Maria Esperanza in 2000.

As the 18th edition of Miss Tourism International since it started in 1994, it was Venezuela's first win in this pageant. However, there was no pageant held in 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997 and 2007.

Miss Philippines Angeli Dione Gomez is Miss Tourism International 2013-14

The year 2013 ended with a smashing victory for the Philippines. Miss Philippines Angeli Dione Gomez was crowned Miss Tourism International 2013 besting other 59 contestants. On its 17th year, the Miss Tourism International competition was held in Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, IOI Resort City, Sepang Utara, Malaysia on December 31, 2013.

Angeli is 20 years old from Cebu, Philippines, who dreams to be a film director someday. She made a back-to-back victory for the Philippines as Rizzini Alexis Gomez also won the crown in 2012. Philippines clinched its 3rd Miss Tourism International crown for 2013. Miss Philippines Maria Esperanza won the title in 2000.

The back-to-back achievement in this competition already happened for Poland that won in 1998 & 1999.
