Call for Application: Ricky Lee Scriptwriting Workshop (Batch 30 & 31)

After a hiatus of several years, muling bumabalik ang RICKY LEE SCRIPTWRITING WORKSHOP!

 

The new Film Academy of the Philippines is proud to present the returning free workshop of National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, Ricky Lee!

 

Since its inception in 1982, the Ricky Lee (Official) Scriptwriting Workshop has helped hone and guide distinct voices that were instrumental in shaping the landscape of Filipino cinema—past work shoppers include Lav Diaz, Dwein Baltazar, Sari Dalena, Jeffrey Jeturian, Bing Lao, Bela Padilla, Agot Isidro, Dustin Celestino, Pepe Diokno, and many more.

 

The workshop will accept only 30 participants per batch: Batch 30 (Dec 2025- March 2026) & Batch 31 (May-August 2026).

Application period: November 8–30, 2025

Submission Requirements (in PDF format):

Letter of Intent – Isang maikling liham na nagpapaliwanag kung bakit mo gustong sumali sa workshop.

(A short letter explaining why you want to join the workshop.)

Pagpapakilala (Introduction) – Malikhaing ipakilala ang iyong sarili gamit ang isang masaya o malungkot na yugto ng iyong buhay.

(Creatively introduce yourself using a happy or sad phase in your life.)
