Promil Pre-School i-Shine Talent Camp TV on GMA-7

Promil Pre-School and GMA Network collaborated to nurture the talents of some of the country’s most talented pre-schoolers with the Promil Pre-School i-Shine Talent Camp TV program. This reality talent search showcases twelve (12) children who have shone the brightest and have hurdled the nationwide talent search displaying their wit, singing, dancing and acting skills, with the guidance of their parents and Kapuso celebrity mentors.

Talent search competitions have sprouted in the Philippines and they prove to discover and develop the potentials of kids bigger than themselves. “The Promil Pre-School i-Shine Talent Camp is an annual nationwide event that serves as a venue for parents to discover and nurture the talents of their children.  This year, we’ve made it even bigger with this partnership with GMA. Now these kids have an even bigger venue to develop and showcase their talents.,” said Carlo de la Paz, Senior Product Manager for Promil Pre-School.

i-Shine Talent Camp is being hosted by Mikee Cojuangco, Paolo Contis and Jillian Ward.

Celebrity Mentors Share Tips for Parents
I was a preschool teacher before and I enjoyed every moment I was with my students. Kids show early signs of talents in their preschool years. This is a time when they are so active, trying to discover many new things.

 The i-Shiners with their parents

In each weekly episode, Kapuso stars will mentor the kids to hone their talents in the different fields. Jolina Magdangal, i-Shine mentor for Hosting, offers this tip for parents to help them nurture their pre-schooler’s talent. “Wag sasabihing lagot ka. Encourage your kids and always be positive.” I also observe some parents blame their kids for their shortcomings & failures. Adults must be encouraging and positive so kids will be motivated to do their best.

Gina Alajar, i-Shine mentor for acting, shared that, “If parents feel and see that their kids are leaning more to arts, music, dance or whatever that interests them, try to hone that. Encourage it without pushing them. Always be available to support them.” It is recommended that parents help their kids develop the talents they are good in.
