Banapple Pies & Cheesecakes now in Greenhills

Banapple opens its fifth branch located in Greenhills, San Juan. If you're looking for sumptous desserts and meals, this is the place to be. I have sweet tooth, and desserts will never be out of sight.

Banapple Pies and Cheesecakes started serving and delighting its customers with good food at Katipunan in Blue Ridge, Quezon City. Back then, Banapple was just a home-based business supplying pies, cakes and cheesecakes to other restaurants, cafes, and other food establishments. Eventually, the popularity of their baked goodies started to grow and in 2007, Banapple set up shop in a small space, which is now nicknamed Katipunan 1. Not long after, a bigger branch just across the road—this time with a bigger dining space and an expanded café menu—was opened, and is fondly called Katipunan Too.

I had my first taste of Banapple when my friend, Sol, tagged me along to have a merienda located at Tomas Morato after attending an event in 2010. It was a small place but she said food there is good. Since she's my friend and I trust her judgment, so we went in. Place is cozy. Cakes on display are so tempting! Then I noticed that their tables are quite unique - made of cement and metal, but filled with colorful holens (marbles) on top.

Trying the other food in the menu for the second time was truly a treat! Here were my orders:

Baked Creamy Cheesy Penne

This baked macaroni is super cheesy and creamy. It is served in a bowl and comes with 2 pieces of bread. This can be shared by 2 people.

Super Caramel Fudge Cake

This Fudge Cake is super sweet (which I love) and the caramel is cooked perfectly - to die for!

Banapple Smoothie

This Smoothie shake is made of bananas and other fruit/s. It is served in a big glass so you'll have enough to quench your thirst.

 Wall displays

I just hope that Banapple will consider putting up a branch in the South of Metro Manila - either in Parañaque, Las Piñas or Alabang areas, to serve other group of clientele.

Naturally, it goes without saying too that all the pies and cheesecakes are handmade and freshly-baked with love everyday. And the hot meals are just so delicious!
